Photos above are my weekend in a nut shell. I ate left over dinner, a nice Caribbean cook-up with potatoes, yam, dumplin’, boiled plantain and banana and salt fish, which oh so yummy in my tummy. I hung out at the beach with some extended family (bff and her sister), had a hot and fries at my childhood favorite spot Pat’s Hubba Hubba, ran some errands, I got kisses from my love, and made a trip to Costco, you got to love the free tasting as you shop, I DO!
All in all a splendid weekend, what did you all do this weekend?
It’s morning and I’m feeling for something different. I have this awesome but still in the works exercise regimen that I will be taking on, but now is as good a time as any to get a breakfast routine down. As I was scouring Pinterest foodies, I can across this delicious looking smoothie made of mango, kelp, pineapple and banana. It looked real tasty and sounded real good. Eureka! I will make smoothies for my breakfast routine for the summer months, keeping it light, fresh and oh so fruity.
So I got up and off the net, headed to the kitchen an made a smoothie!
I didn’t have the kelp but, I made do with what I had since I didn’t feel like going to the store, laziness, is a terrible thing. I blended those fine blueberry antioxidants with some sliced apples, mango and canned pineapple.
Of course the berries monopolized the color and was having a flavor fight with the mango, but it was oh so good, I look forward to more summer mornings just as juicy.
